Well, if you do not believe things can get crazy in a way most mortals would never imagine... do not even continue reading my report on the fantastic Time Nexus.
Well, there we were. When, or where... I could not quitly understand - as per usual. Some kind of tunnel, and I was sure I've never used any kind of ilegal drug, but... it was colourful and the colours... danced. Ask the old man if you do not believe me. All tones of all the colours you can possibly imagine. As I have all the time I want, I could describe it, but you are not timeless as I am in the moment - I know, this sounds like a paradox. So I will allow your imagination do the job.
Ok, lets cut to the chase. Meanwhile back at the ranch...
-Sir, what is this?
The old man was dazzled. I was, of course, puzzled, which meant pratically the same here. He did not pay much attention to my question.
-Look, Ewan! I think all the elements of Creation flowing through... well, through this tunnel we are! - I thought this explanation was particularly hideous and pathetic, but decided not to mention this to Mr. Time - perhaps this is some kind of passageway between worlds. Our research is leading us to something, at last!
Hours and hours of dull reading. Not to mention I could not read more than half the languages those weird textbooks were written in. The tunnel was extremely long. Sometimes I had a deep sensation I would just love to be daltonic. Eras could have passed, and my head started to ache as if desperately trying to remember me it existed.
The thing is: time was not something I needed to worry about. For an example:
Ok, I bet you kind of expected this to happen. See it? the time it took for you to run your eyes over this blank section of this page, in the nexus, could be more than I could stand, or the blink of an eye. Perhaps a parsec.
And my eyes were blinking. We walked. Then we had to run. I looked behind us and you could say things were getting... dark. The tunnel was disappearing. And probably we would, too. I know, cursed be my big mouth. Suddenly, the colours seemed better than cold and dark inexistence.
-Sir, RUN!
I took him by the shoulder and we ran. Ah, we ran for dear life. He held his coconut hat and opened his eyes so wide I thought we would have to turn back to fetch them when they popped out. Of course, if there were still any eye there to be caught.
Next thing I did - do not ask how, for I still don't know - I jumped.
We landed. Somewhere/sometime in my deepest image of a dream. We were outdoors. The landscape was[...]
